I'm gonna start with what was now 3 weekends ago...wow does time fly over here!
So, the last time I posted on here was the weekend I went to Cordoba, and that was on a Saturday. That Sunday night, I went to the Seville vs. Barcelona soccer game here in Seville. It was SOOOOOO much fun! Definitely brought me back to the Badger football games, although clearly those are still much better. I went with my friend Britt and two new friends I've made Makenzie and Melissa.
We started out the night at our favorite 'fast food' restaurant in Seville, Cien Montaditos. Basically the name means 100 Tiny Sandwiches...intriguing, no? My favorite has got to be the brie cheese sandwich, and the egg and potato sandwich...yummy. Anyways we met up with a bunch of people beforehand there and got drinks and celebrated a little. Lots of people had visitors that weekend as it was UW-Madison's spring break so we all had a really good time.
Melissa, Makenzie, Britt and I all ended up sitting by the goal which one could compare to the student section in Madison. I think that definitely made the game for me because everyone was so lively and crazy. I can say without a doubt that I have NEVER heard so many swear words in my entire life, so those of you who think the Badger cheer is inappropriate, you have no idea. This soccer game made Badger games seem like Barney, meaning completely appropriate for children.
We ended up tying the game, which I always hate because I'm competitive and want to know who did better!! But, since Barcelona is pretty much the best team in the world and Seville is not considered to be that good this year, I guess I'll just be content with the tie :-)
Here are some photos!
The week after the soccer game was the oh-so-dreaded midterm week. I had 4 midterms within 2 days and needless to say, it wasn't my favorite week here in Seville! It was POURING rain almost all week as well, which probably was good because I didn't want to be outside walking around, but on the other hand, it made me want to just relax and watch movies all day! The midterms were harder than I expected them to be which added insult to injury, but I ended up doing better than I expected and all's well that ends well.
My last midterm was Thursday night, and I left Friday morning for Barcelona to visit my friend Leah, and await the arrival of Tracy as well :-) I'm going to do a new post for that one so this one's not so incredibly long!
